Who is Star Jones?

I did not know who she was until I went to US.

Anyway, Star Jones was a host on The View. Basically, she was fat and then she became thin.


Quite a transformation right!! Everyone would think she did something to lose all the weight, right?? Especially in Hollywood and you are a celebrity, all the media will be focused to to find out what happened to her.

But, Star Jones did not want to elaborate on her weight loss. She said that it is diet and exercise! Are you kidding?? To shrink from fat to thin so quickly, would anyone believe that she did not have anything "special" done?? However, everyone suspects that she had a gastric bypass but she denied it.


She started to lose her credibility. Also due to the super lavish wedding she threw and publicised when she married investment banker Al Reynolds in 2004. The wedding was so heavily promoted with sponsors and lavish expenses that the public started to feel it was wasteful and distasteful.


Her contract on The View did not get renewed. The producers were willing to let her go gracefully by telling the public that she is quitting to do something else but Star Jones dropped her own bomb on the live show by announcing that she is quiting one day without the producer's knowledge.


Since then, she has not really done anything really successful. Recently her marriage failed and there were speculations of her husband's sexual orientation.

A few months ago, in response to the publication of her former boss Barbara Walters' autobiography Audition, Star released a statement: "It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book," Jones told US Magazine. "It speaks to her true character."

The public did not respond well to her statement at all since she has such credibility.

Why I am writing about Star Jones?? No reason really, just felt like sharing especially since I actually researched about her "stories" to find out more about her. That is how gossipy I am!
