Joey Wong Cho Yin is a Buddhist Nun.

During the 80s, there were few HK stars as big as Joey Wong. Every guy dreamt of being with this 172 cm tall girl and every girl dreamt of becoming this Taiwanese borned beauty. After her big breakthrough role in the "Chinese Ghost Story" with the belated Leslie Cheung, she was always considered one of the leading lady in the HK film industry. Despite her mandarin accented cantonese nobody cares...she was tall and beautiful. She could not withstand rumors of being a third party in a relationship and decided to call it quits and moved to Canada. There she also had an unsuccessful relationship with Chinese singer Chyi Chin that lasted for 10 years.

But recent rumor has it that she is very religious and turned to Buddha for answer. She became a nun in a Canadian Buddhist temple. She must have seen too many chinese movies where failed love always meant that she was not meant to have someone special.....so....she became a nun. Well this is unsubstansial and unproven yet. It is just a rumor. But rumor always starts from a certain truth. We will see whatever version will play out. Stay tuned.
